Abstract

675,394. Moulds for flagstones &c. BENTON, E. A., and HARRIS, D. A. Nov. 28, 1950 [Feb. 21, 1950], No. 4385/50. Class 87(ii) An adjustable mould for flagstones of various lengths comprises a flat base 1, one side wall 2 and one end wall 3 permanently fixed, e.g. welded, to the base, the opposite end and side walls 5, 6 being permanently fixed together to form a unit adjustably clamped to the base and to the other walls. The walls are made of angle irons. The horizontal flange of the side 6 is clamped to the base by means of clamps 7 and its vertical flange is clamped to a lug 12 on the end 3 by means of a clamp 13. The end 5 carries an inverted U-shaped rider 15 which straddles the vertical flange of the side 2 and is clamped to the horizontal flange by means of a clamp 17. The adjustable walls may be fixed in predetermined positions by means of a pin 22 located in registering holes 21 in the base and in the horizontal flange of the side 6. The underside of the mould may carry supporting bars.
