673,705. Mudguards. NORTON MOTORS, Ltd., and McCANDLESS, R. Oct. 13, 1950 [Oct. 13, 1949], No. 26293/49. Class 136(i) A front mudguard for a cycle or motorcycle has on its inner surface, adjacent to its front end, a curved transverse deflector e of which the upper edge fits closely against the surface of the mudguard a and of which the ends f are extended rearwardly and downwardly along the mudguard so that the water and mud driving forwardly over the inner surface of the mudguard are deflected rearwardly. The deflector e is a curved metal strip, the upper edge of which conforms to the shape of the inner surface of the mudguard to which it is welded, the central part of the strip being inclined rearwardly and having its convex side facing forwardly.
