[Also in Group XXXVII] When the voltage is sufficient a relay RM (see Group XXXVII) operates to close an indicating circuit Cl, C3, and also to remove at 5 a short-circuit from the " releasing " resistance RD. The operating voltage is adjusted by the variable resistance RC and the release voltage by the resistance RD and there may be an intermediate range of voltage in which the armature continuously oscillates. In modifications, the relay RM controls a second relay which operates the indicating contacts C1, C2, C3 and the second relay which may have a time lag for operation or release also introduces or cut-outs a resistance.
