Abstract

668,693. Tubular-lamp fittings. SYLVANIA ELECTRIC PRODUCTS, Inc. April 28, 1950 [April 29, 1949], No. 10569/50. Class 75(iv) A louvre for tubular - lamp fittings comprises a central longitudinal V-section reflector 1 formed with a plurality of spaced transverse slots 3 extending upwardly from its apex to receive transverse slats 2 each of which has at lease one securing tab 8 extending through the reflector and bent down thereon. As shown each slat 2 has a central recess 6 the side edges of which conform with and embrace the walls of the reflector 1 above the upper edges of the slots 3. The base of the recess 6 is formed with the tab 8 which extends substantially the full width thereof and the base of which has a slot 14 to facilitate bending of the tab on assembly. The tab 8 may be formed by slightly undercutting the base of the recess 6 along the lines of the side edges.
