[Also in Group VIII] In the treatment of tricot fabric to remove curl from the salvages thereof (see Group VIII), the fabric 18, prior to entering a hot setting bath 2, is drawn beneath a trapezoidal wire member 8, Fig. 1, the inclined sides of which cause the fabric edges to uncurl. Alternatively, the edges may be uncurled by fluid (e.g. water) projected under pressure from jets 27, 28, Fig. 4.
