Abstract

663,596. Cabinets. FERGUSON RADIO CORPORATION, Ltd., and LOCKYER, J. S. Aug. 11, 1950. [Aug. 11, 1949] No. 20942/49. Class 52 (i). [Also in Groups XXXVIII and XL (c)] A cabinet for a radio and gramophone comprises a radio compartment 11 and a gramophone supporting platform 15 with a front panel 16 the platform being connected to the cabinet by two pairs of pivoted links 18, 24. The links 18 are in the form of two armed levers, the end of one arm being connected to the platform and the end of the other carrying a counter weight 22. The platform and gramophone may thus be swung from a position where it is inside the cabinet to a position shown in Fig. 2, where it is held by a catch 27, the counterweight 22 compensating for the forward movement of the centre of gravity.
