Abstract

Sterling silver containing at least 1 per cent of aluminium or 0.5 per cent of beryllium or both provided that the amount of aluminium plus twice the amount of beryllium is not less than 1 per cent, is annealed at any stage during the working at 600 to 750 DEG C. Annealing at the final stage may be followed by polishing only as the article is stated to be free from firestain.
