660,960. Lacquered oyster shells. NEDERLANDSE ORGANISATIE VOOR TOEGEPASTNATUURWETENSCHAPPELIJK ONDERZOEK TEN BEHOEVE VAN DE VOEDING. Aug. 30, 1949 [Sept. 16, 1948], No. 22538/49. Class 49. Oyster shells, after being cleaned and dried, are coated with a thin layer of colourless and odourless resin or lacquer, e.g. a low-viscosity amyl acetate solution of nitrocellulose is applied to the shells and the solvent allowed to volatilize. Shells so treated do not acquire a musty odour and retain their lustre; they may be used several times for serving defrosted frozen oysters.
