Class 125(iii) In end closure caps for tubes particularly of fuel tanks for motor vehicles of the kind in which the cap is rotated relatively to the tube to secure the cap and to which means are provided for the unauthorized withdrawal of the closure the cap 21 is provided with an inwardly extending boss 22 within which is rotatively mounted a lock barrel 23 operated by a separate key 24. In one form the end 25 of the lock barrel 23 is connected to the tube 10 by hinged plates 15, 16 so mounted that when the closure is placed in position by means of lugs 30 passing through gaps in the rim 11, the lock barrel 23 is prevented from turning relatively to the tube 10 by means of the engagement of the hinge knuckle 19 being embraced by a U-shaped piece 27. The cap 21 is then turned to engage the lugs 30 below the cam-like edge of the rim and actuation or withdrawal of the key 24 then prevents relative rotation of the cap and lock barrel so preventing the withdrawal of the closure until the insertion of the key unlocks the cap from the lock barrel. In another form the cap 51 has a boss 52 within which is mounted the lock barrel 53 to which is secured a U-shaped member 54 which in the closing position of the closure passes into the tube 40 the limbs 56 of the member 54 passing through gaps in the rim 41. Mounted on the cap 51 by means of studs 61 and springs 60 is an arcuate plate 58 having projecting lugs 59 which pass through circumferential slots 57 in the member 54 these lugs 59, when the cap 51 is rotated, engaging below the flange 43 of the tube and on actuation or withdrawal of the key 64 the lock barrel and cap are prevented from relative rotation.
