Abstract
660.923. Dough - moulding machines. CHIBNALL'S BAKERIES, Ltd., and CORLETT, W. April 17, 1950 [April 19, 1949], No. 10352/49. Class 87(ii) Pieces of dough 2 pass from a conveyer 3, through sheeting rollers 9, 10, 11, past a curling roller 12, then between a rotating drum 13 and pressure-plate 18, to be finally delivered on to a conveyer 5. Any piece of dough which happens to stick to the drum and is carried beyond the discharge point will strike a flap 22, trip a mercury switch 29, and cause driving power to the drum to be cut off. At the same time an electromagnet 32 will be de-energized, allowing flap 8 to open and dough pieces 2 to fall clear of the rollers 9, 10, 11. The switch 29 may also be arranged to control the supply to motors driving the conveyers 3 and 5. The electric circuit may be so arranged that the drum motor cannot be started again until the flap 8 has been closed.
