Abstract
660,578. Hydraulic presses. BERTHELSEN, V. Feb. 3, 1948. [Oct. 23, 1945] No. 3080/48. Class 69 (ii). [Also in Group VIII] A hollow press table 2 has top and bottom walls with side walls 11, 12, and end walls 15, 16 rigidly secured thereto, spaced internal partitions 13 welded to opposite end walls and each welded by its edges to the top and bottom walls, openings provided alternately at opposite ends of the partitions so as to provide a zig-zag channel for a press heating fluid, e.g. steam between ports 10. The partitions 13 may alternately engage the walls 15, 16, as shown or they may extend from one end wall to the other, openings being formed at opposite ends of alternate partitions to form the channel. In a press, the tabel 2 is fixed in a welded frame construction having vertical columns 1, upper transversal frame parts 5 and lower frame parts 6.. Beneath the table 2 a hydraulically operated press table 3, preferably of the same construction as the table 2. Specification 660,577 is referred to.
