Class 110(i) An electric fan comprises a vertically arranged rod supporting the motor casing, the rod having an eccentric or offset portion to which an oscillating mechanism is connected. The fan is supported on a rod 7 having an arcuate portion which can slide in a channel 8 and is adjustably secured to the base 9 by an eye bolt 10. At its upper end, the rod 7 is journalled in bearings 12 and 14 and has an eccentric portion 22 to which one end of an L-shaped lever 41 is pivotally attached at 42. The other end of the lever 41 is pivotally attached at 40 to a crank arm 39 which is rotated through reduction gearing from the motor shaft 2.
