Abstract

658,438. Drawer accessories. COLANGULAR, Ltd., and ROSS, H. H. April 29, 1949, No. 11450. [Classes 52 (i), 52 (iii) and 52 (v)] An auxiliary support for use with filing cabinets has two panels which are connected at their front ends and diverge rearwardly and hooking means at the rear to provide a selec-. tion as to which panel shall be the uppermost. As shown the support comprises an upper panel 3 with an upturned lip 4, triangular side plates 7 and a lower panel 8 spaced inwardly relative to the side plates 7 to form side walls 7<SP>1</SP>. Hooks 5, 13 with rubber studs 6, 14 enable the support to be attached to a drawer with either panel uppermost. A further hook 15 may be provided so the support may form a pocket as shown in Fig. 4. The Provisional Specification describes an embodiment wherein the reversible support has only one panel but both surfaces are used. Moreover the lower hook means may be pivotally supported and spring loaded so it can snap into its operative position or into an obscured position.
