654,029. Adhesive tape. HERTS PHARMACEUTICALS, Ltd., GEIGY CO., Ltd., and SEYMOUR, D. E. Oct. 25, 1948, No. 27641. [Class 140] A pressure-sensitive adhesive tape for use in sealing food containers comprises sheet material, e.g. a woven textile fabric, paper, plastic material such as regenerated cellulose, a cellulose ester or ether or a polymeric substance such as polyvinyl chloride, with an adhesive coating which may include rubber with or without other ingredients or synthetic plastic materials of a sticky or adhesive nature, the sheet material or the adhesive or both, including an insecticidal composition of the general formula (where R means a phenyl radical containing as a substituent in the para position a chlorine, bromine or fluorine atom or a methoxy group or an alkyl group, especially methyl, ethyl, or propyl, and is otherwise unsubstituted), e.g. 4: 4<SP>1</SP>.dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane. The composition may be incorporated in the coating in admixture with a solid inert diluent. Specifications 547,871, 547,874, [both in Group IV], 577,124 and 590,826 are referred to.
