[Class 7(iv)] In an ignition timing mechanism for multicylinder internal-combustion engines which permits the ignition point of each cylinder to be individually timed by means comprising a separate circuit-breaker cam B for each cylinder, each cam is adjustable about a cam spindle A and the assembly so formed takes the place of the usual multilobe circuit-breaker cam Each cam incorporates a friction ring to enable it to be adjusted without displacing the rest of the assembly whilst marks G on each cam enable its relation with the datum line H on the spindle A to be readily seen.
