[Class 40 (iii)] A device for communicating instructions to a television camera operator from a remote control station displays visible signals on a portion of the camera focusing and viewfinding screen. As shown, a rotatable transparent disc 7 bearing signals in the form of letters or coloured dots around its periphery is positioned between a light source 3 and the camera screen 2, and is rotated to bring a desired signal into the display position by an electro-magnet 14 actuating a ratchet and pawl drive 10, 11, the electromagnet being energized by closure of a key 17 on the control desk 6. A repeat indicator 18 is provided on the control desk. An alternative construction may employ a separate lamp for each signal on the disc and a plurality of conductors extending to the control desk to enable the lamp corresponding to any desired signal to be lit.
