Abstract
651,817. Handles. BLUEMEL BROS., Ltd. Oct. 14, 1948, Nos. 26714/48 and 19580/49. [Class 61(i)] [Also in Groups V and XXXI] In a plastic tubular handle grip 10 moulded over a mandrel, the interior of the grip is formed with a plurality of spaced ribs 11 and the grip, during the moulding operation is provided internally with a thin layer of paper 12 which is withdrawn with the moulded grip and has the internally ribbed configuration of the grip. The ribs 11 may either be parallel to the longitudinal axis of the grip, Fig. 3, or they may be inclined at an angle of 10 degrees or 20 degrees to this axis, Fig. 2. The ribs are of convex form in cross-section.
