650,137. Phase displacement. DUTILH, J. R. H. Aug. 10, 1948, Nos. 21033 and 21034. Convention dates, Aug. 14, 1947, and June 23, 1948. [Class 38 (ii)] A stator and rotor arrangement for producing a phase-shifted alternating single-phase voltage at the output terminals 4, 17 shifted by an angle # from the single-phase input voltage applied to terminals 26, 27 equal to the angular movement of the rotor 18 of a Selsyn transmitter has phase-shifting networks 28, 29, 30 connected respectively in the lines to the Selsyn stator windings 23, 24, 25 so as to shift the phase of the stator output voltages by angles equal to the phase shifting of their amplitudes in space, which phase-shifted voltages are then summed up to form the resultant phase-shifted single-phase output voltage. The phase-shifting networks 28, 29, 30 contain components so as to produce lagging phaseshifts of 0 degrees, 120 degrees, 240 degrees, respectively. Fig. 2 (not shown) illustrates another embodiment in which each phaseshifting network comprises a resistor and a condenser, a resistor having a tapping to form one output terminal being connected between points on two of the phase-shifting networks, a common point of all the networks forming the other output terminal.
