Abstract

646,783. Tunnel kilns. AMAND, R. May 22, 1947, No. 13834. Convention date, Dec. 28,1942. [Class 51 (ii)] In a continuous tunnel kiln for ceramic ware the load 4 is carried on superposed layers 2 and 3 of carborundum bricks propelled into the tunnel in turn by a mechanical ram 6, and where a scaffolding is necessary to carry the load it may be supported on a thin platform of carborundum covering a number of bricks.
