Abstract

646,262. Harrows. INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CO. OF GREAT BRITAIN, Ltd. (International Harvester Co.). Aug. 18, 1948, No. 21794. [Class 6(i)] [Also in Group XXIX] The wheels 15, 16 of a tractor-drawn discharrow are provided with crank axles 17, 18 which are connected by links to a hydraulic ram 24 (see Group XXIX) to facilitate raising and lowering the disc gang sections 11 and 12. Retraction of the ram swings wheels 15 and 16 downwardly and either raises the gang sections to the transport position or to a shallower working depth. Mechanism is incorporated with the ram to limit the upward swinging of wheels 15 and 16 with respect to the frame 10 so that after the implement has been raised to the transport position it may subsequently be returned to the same operating position.
