[Class 81(ii)] [Also in Group XVII] One or more sealed containers 1, enclosing sterile articles such as sutures 2, are enclosed in a sealed, transparent envelope 5 containing a sterilizing liquid E such as ethyl alcohol, this envelope being in turn enclosed in a sealed, transparent envelope 7 containing a sterilizing liquid 8. The envelopes are preferably made of a polyethylene material and the containers of glass with appropriate indicia marked thereon. The envelopes are preferably only partially filled with sterilizing liquid so as to leave air spaces which are stated to obviate rupture of the package.
