Abstract

643,726. Centrifugal machines. INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CO. OF GREAT BRITAIN, Ltd. July 30,1947, No. 20633. Convention date, Dec. 28, 1946. [Class 23] The casing of a centrifugal separator bowl comprises parts which engage telescopically and are locked in assembled relation by retianing means engaging one part and a recessed inner face on the other part. In a separator according to Specification 643,716 the parts 11, 12, Fig. 1, of the bowl 10 are locked by a split ring 34. To facilitate removal of the ring a hole 37 communicates with the recess 17. Since the disc pack 27 is axially compressed by the assembled casing parts a tool, Fig. 4, comprising a support 38 and a lever 40 is used to assemble and dismantle the separator. The support 38 is normally used to hold a supply can for the separator.
