Addition to 630,468. [Class 87 (ii)] [Also in Groups XI and XXII] In an electrically-heated extrusion press having heating elements accommodated in recesses formed in a reinforcing wall between inner and outer walls of the press, the heating element in each recess 13 comprises a thick resistor 20 bent so as to pass several times along the length of the recess. Each resistor is mounted upon insulating supports 14. All the resistors may form one group, all connected in series, or two or more groups interconnected with each other in parallel.
