Abstract
642,170. Refrigerators. ELECTROLUX, Ltd. Dec. 17, 1947, No. 33249. Convention date, Dec. 19, 1946. [Class 29] One or more heat reflecting surfaces 20 with air layers between are interposed between the horizontal insulated lid 17 and the storage space of a refrigerator. As shown metal foils spaced by distance pieces 22 are secured by screws 19 to the inner face of the lids which are hinged at 18. In a modification metal sheets are horizontally slidable in guides arranged on the inside walls of the refrigerator beneath the lid. The surfaces may be aluminium sheets or synthetic resin coated on both sides with aluminium foil.
