[Class 37] A capacitative voltage divider for measuring high alternating voltage has leakage to earth eliminated by a second capacity in tubular form surrounding the first capacitative divider and suitably axially displaced therefrom. As shown in Fig. 2, the main capacitative chain CM is screened by elements S which are connected to points on a capacitative chain Cs. The screening elements S may in turn be screened by another capacity.
