Abstract

641,201. Venting containers. PENNSYLVANIA SALT MANUFACTURING CO. Feb. 27, 1948, No. 6097. Convention date, April 25, 1940. [Class 21] A vent fitting for a container for gasemanating substances comprises a casing 12 in which is secured by a cap 15 a resilient plug 18a, the plug 18a having a vent port 22 and a socket containing a porous block 23. The cap has an eccentric vent hole 17. The block 23 is secured by the deformation of the plug 18a between the cap 15 and casing 12 and may be further secured by a plate 24 having a vent hole eccentric to the ports 22 and 17.
