Abstract

637,001. Looking glasses. SCOTT, R. H. March 9, 1948, No. 7286. [Class 52 (iv)] A mirror 1 forms part of a frame comprising a fixed back 21, and side panels 5 and 6 hinged to the frame and having hingedly connected front panels 7 and 8 respectively, a source of light, e.g. electric lamps 3, serving to warm the back of the mirror 1 to prevent condensation. The back 21, a hinged bottom part 9, and panels 7 and 8 are reflecting, a top part 2 being either reflecting or transparent. The front panels 7, 8, which each have a matt band 10, fold over the front of the mirror 1 when the device is inoperative and are arranged to reflect light to the front of the mirror when it is being used.
