635,307. Fluid-pressure gauging-apparatus. NILES BEMENT POND CO: Aug. 27, 1947, No. 23760. Convention date, Nov. 30, 1946. [Class 106 (ii)] An air gauge for internal gauging has a cylindrical head 12 with opposed air delivery nozzles 16 therein, and cover means, such as a collar 10, slidably mounted on the head, for normally restricting the flow of air from the nozzles, this collar being movable against the action of a spring 14 by the work-piece W when the latter is placed over the head 12 for gauging. By this arrangement the flow of air through the nozzles 16 is fairly constant at all times, and several independent gauge heads, each complete with stand and pressure gauge; can be fed from a common pressure reservoir supplied with compressed air through a common regulator device.
