632,686. Hedge-cutters &c. BAKER, J. R. J. March 21, 1947, No. 7870. [Classes 6(ii) and 6(iii)] [Also in Group XIV] A hedge-cutting machine, of the kind described in Specification 479,351 and having a fixed, toothed cutter bar on which another toothed cutter bar reciprocates, is characterized in that, near the tip, each edge of the teeth of at least one of the cutter bars is formed with a single barb, the edge of the barb being at right angles to the adjacent edge of the tooth. As shown barbs 15 are provided on the teeth 11 which are secured to the fixed cutter bar 10 by rivets 12, the teeth 14, of the movable cutter bar 13, being without barbs and sharpened along both edges 20, 21.
