632,267. Paper for photographic use. PAPETERIES STEINBECH & CIE. SOC ANON. Sept. 4, 1947, No. 24398. Convention date, June 9. Addition to 632,218. [Class 96] Paper for photographic (heliographic) use &c. is made by adding to pulp, e.g. 1 to 5 per cent of one or more aldehydic condensation products, e.g. melamine in hot water or dilute acid &c. with formaldehyde to replace at least the greater part of the colophony &c. ordinarily used and to prevent penetration into the paper of the sensitive emulsion, polymerization being completed by drying at below 85‹ C., heating to at least 85‹ C. for a short time and winding hot, so that the wound paper remains at over 45 C. for completion of the polymerization.
