Abstract

In a modification of the galvanic method of forming a protective coating on a magnesium base article, as claimed in the parent Specification, the article may be of magnesium alloy containing (a) 1.8 per cent manganese, (b) 6 per cent aluminium, 1 per cent zinc and 0.4 per cent manganese, or (c) 4 per cent aluminium, 3 per cent zinc and 0.4 per cent manganese.
