Abstract

631,268. Anti-dazzle screens. STEVENS, A. H. (Peckat Manufacturing Co., C.). April 22, 1947, No. 10709. [Class 103 (ii)] An apparatus for supporting an awning in adjustable positions with respect to the windshield of an automobile, includes a pair of brackets adapted to be clamped to the automobile beyond the two ends of the wind-shield and a pair of interconnected aligned members on each bracket for connecting the bracket to the awning, and means for adjusting the overall length of the interconnected aligned member for adjusting the angular position of the awning with relation to the wind-shield 2. A screen 1 of rubberised fabric or the like is provided with a transverse rod 7 pivotally attached at each end to a flanged plate bracket 10 adjustably clamped to a body rain gutter 4 so that the rod 7 is held in spaced-relationship with the body 3. The screen 1 is supported at each side by interconnected aligned members 30, 31 and it may be centrally supported by a member 39 secured by an adjustable clamp 40 to the middle bar 41 of the wind-screen 2.
