Abstract

Semi-conductive bodies, in particular resistors and thermistors, are made by shaping crystalline rutile titanium oxide of at least 99 per cent purity by pressing, moulding, or extrusion, and firing in a slightly reducing atmosphere at 1380-1500 DEG C. A reducing atmosphere is not necessary during cooling.
