627,300. Gill boxes. SCARANI, R. July 3, 1946, No. 19934. Convention date, April 2, 1943. Addition to 626,953. [Class 120 (i)] In a gill box as claimed in the parent Specification, the fallers 1, immediately prior to their entry into and discharge from the working path are engaged by supplementary supporting means in the form of wheel like devices rotating in synchronism with the wheels affecting the feeding of the falters. In their ascent to the working path the fallers I are supported by curved shoes 5<SP>1</SP> of star wheels 5, one at each side of the machine and are moved horizontally by the engagement of their projections 8 with inclined guides 9. The falters are fed along the working path by wheel 4 and during discharge from the working path are engaged by notches 6<SP>1</SP> in a cam 6 similar to a Geneva wheel and during descent rest upon surfaces 611 of the, notches. Gear wheels connect the cam 6 to a wheel 41 controlling the discharge of the fallers and star wheel 5 to the feed wheel 4.
