627,169. Sugar bowls &c. WIGGIN, W.. WIGGIN, N., WIGGIN, W. C. B., and WIGGIN, A. L. July 19, 1947, No. 19379. [Class 128] [Also in Group XVII] A sugar bowl &c. A has a lid B which, without being raised, may be slid open sideways and tilted by a pivoted yoke handle C the sides c of which pass through slots b in the overhanging margin of the lid. Part b<SP>1</SP> of the margin may curve down so as to bear on the curved-in rim a of the bowl and the outer part b<SP>2</SP>, in which the slots are made, may be horizontal. The bowl has a slot E to hold a spoon. The middle of the top of the handle may be stepped-up. According to the Provisional Specification a horizontal bar may be secured to each side c of the handle just beneath the lid, parallel with but unable to enter the slot b, so that turning-down of the handle immediately tilts the lid.
