[Class 20(i)] [Also in Group XIII] A plumbing system comprises preassembled units A, B, C which are installed by mounting in position in a building and then connecting together directly or by intermediate lengths of plain piping 13, 14. Moreover, the preassembled units consist of a supply unit A having a hot water cylinder 3 communicating with a supply tank 2 both being mounted in a framework 1 which is covered by light sheet material 4 and provided with shelves to form an airing cupboard; a bathroom unit B consisting of sections of the main supply pipes 13a, 14a and branch pipes 13b, 13c, 14b, 14c, 14d and sections of the waste pipes e.g. pipe 17, for serving a bath, lavatory basin and W.C. cistern 22, the piping being held together by brackets 15 by which the unit is secured to the wall or floor, such brackets serving also as supports for plates (not shown) to cover in the pipes; and a kitchen unit C serving a sink and consisting of hot and cold water pipes 13e, 14e and a valve 29 which may also be held together by brackets 24 and cover plates. Each bracket 15, 24 may be formed in one piece with holes for the pipes and lugs for fixing the cover plate to the bracket and the bracket to the wall or floor or they may be formed of two members pivoted together and closing pillory-fashion around the pipes. Back plates may be provided, between the brackets and the wall and/or floor, having flanges for the attachment of the cover plates.
