Abstract

Glass ampoules have, at the place selected for opening, a blunt-shaped indentation or series of indentations forming a continuous or intermittent ring produced by removing a part of the hard skin of the ampoule (see Group XXIII). The ampoule may have a neck portion of reduced diameter, and a constricted portion in which the indentations are made.
