624,658. Cloches. PRATTEN, B. Jan. 8, 1947, No. 612. [Class 20(i)] A cloche consists of two rectangular frames A, B rebated to take sheets of glass or other transparent material, connected, between their lower members, by chains N and, between their inside faces, by telescopic stays C, D which, when fully compressed, allow the frames to rest together #-wise at an angle of 90 degrees and which, when extended, hold each frame in an angular position independent of the position of the other frame. Telescopic stay C is locked by a thumbscrew E and stay D by screw-threaded locking bar G which, when the frames are closed to form a tent-type cloche, protrudes through a slot H provided in the top member of the frame B. The stays are attached by cotter-pins to U-shaped lugs K, J screwed to the horizontal members of the frames A, B.
