Abstract

623,437. Dust shoots. SMART, G. R. Jan. 6, 1947, No. 352. [Class 26] [Also in Group XXX] A dust shoot for conveying refuse comprises a panel 1 for fitting flush to a workroom wall, such panel having one or more openings 2 each sealed by an airtight door. 4 and connected with one or more shoots 3, each shoot having a spring-operated closing airtight flap 10 at its discharge end and serving to convey refuse from a workroom to containers in an enclosed shelter 11 having doors for removal of the containers, a ventilating pipe 12, and a freshair inlet 18 at its lowest part. Preferably the panel 1, which may be of metal, plastic, bonded timber, porcelain &c. and its attachments are in unit construction with the shelter 11, whilst it may also form a unit with a sink, draining board or workroom table and may incorporate taps, plumbing, pipework and wiring ducts. Specifications 1224/99, [Class 26], and 425,719 are referred to.
