Abstract

620,971. Rotary duplicators; cutting and delivery apparatus. TERRIER, F., and ADAM, M. Feb. 5, 1947, No. 3458. Convention date, Jan. 3, 1940. [Classes 100 (i) and 100 (ii)] A paper web before passing between coacting stencil drums 10, 11 for printing simultaneously on both sides of the paper, is cut into sheets by a cutter 16, upward movement of which for cutting actuates a lever 9 connected to a spring member adapted to press the forward end of the web against a stationary member to hold the web during cutting. The web is drawn off a reel 3 and fed to the drums by rollers 7, 8 actuated from a hand-crank 15 or a motor. The printed sheets are supported by wheels 13 having long teeth and finally drop into a receiver 14. The drum 10 is connected to a plate 19 fixed to a driving pinion by a lever 18 having a tooth engaging a notch in the plate. By turning the lever against spring action, the drum may be released and turned into a position where the ink container is at the bottom.
