619,076. Printing surfaces. B. B. CHEMICAL CO., Ltd. Oct. 9, 1946, No. 30119. Convention date, Oct. 10, 1945. Drawings to Specification. [Class 100(ii)] A metal printing plate is attached to a supporting block by applying a thermoplastic cement composition to one face of the block, allowing solvent to evaporate until a dry film of non-tacky cement results, heating the metal plate, pressing the heated plate against the film of cement, and maintaining pressure until the cement softens and then cools and sets. A composition, e.g. as described in Specification 610,345, [Group V], is applied to a shaped. wooden block, or to boards subsequently cut to shape, the solvent is allowed to evaporate, the printing plate is heated to about 350‹F, and pressure of 50 lbs. per square inch is maintained for two or three minutes.
