[Class 142(iv)] Mats comprising links of rubber, rubber and fibre, or other material threaded on wires 1, have the holes of inner links 2b pitched closer together than the holes of the links in adjacent rows so that only a narrow gap 3 exists between the links 2 in each outermost row. Alternatively, all the links have the holes pitched alike and the links in the outermost row at each side are extended to provide the narrow gap 3.
