Abstract
617,815. Dust-shields for corners. WILLIAMS, S. Oct. 9, 1946, No. 30100. [Class 20(ii)] A filling piece to exclude dust from corners of rooms, drawers, shelves &c. comprises a strip of metal 10 with prongs 11 projecting from its longitudinal edges and cambered at 12 in cross-section, for filling the angle between two plane surfaces, or a substantially triangular plate 1 with points 2 at its corners and cambered in cross-section, for filling a corner made by three plane surfaces. The plate or strip is placed in the corner convex side out and pressed (a) to engage the prongs or points with the surfaces forming the corner, and (b) to destroy or reverse the camber so that the filling piece presents a flat or concave surface outwards. The points or prongs are thus bent over and firmly embedded. The triangular plate may have slightly concave sides to fit snugly against the surfaces when the camber is reversed or may have straight sides in which case after fixing the plate is substantially flat.
