Abstract

616,658. Steam boiler settings. BOLTON'S SUPERHEATER & PIPE WORKS. Ltd., and GRAY, T. F. Sept. 18, 1946, No. 27985. [Class 123(ii)] The back end a of a boiler is sealed by a strip m which extends thereacross and is detachably secured to a pivoted weighted member b having a curved surface c in contact with a movable roller i. The roller i is located in an inclined slot j in a housing from near the ends of which depend brackets e provided with pivot pins d for engagement with holes g in webs h on the member b, the curved surface c of the latter and the pins d being coaxial. The housing f is completed by cover and side plates p, q, and the webs h of the member b are preferably formed with projections n for engagement with stops o on the brackets e to limit angular movement of said member.
