Abstract

616,497. Air filters. VOKES; C. G., and VOKES, Ltd. Sept. 6, 1946, No. 26903. [Class 8 (ii)] [Also in Group X] An air filter, e.g. for covering an opening at the bottom of a window 16 (see Group X), comprises an extensible frame 1, 2, surrounding a deeply pleated or corrugated filter element 4 free to move relatively to, while making joint with the upper and lower frame member. As shown in Fig. 5, the frame portions, which are telescopic and relatively slidable so as to fit different size' openings, are of V-section, and the filter element is riveted to the ends of the frame and comprises a layer of felt 5 between two layers of metal gauze 3, 4, with edge bindings of felt.
