Abstract

613,296. Loom-pickers &c. NORTON & CO., Ltd., G. H. and IBBOTSON, C., June 18, 1946, No. 18202. [Class 142(iii)] A device for preventing wear in loompickers comprises a piece F of raw hide or other wear-resisting material which is mounted on the picker-spindle C between the picker A and picking stick B, and is formed with a tongue H to enter the guideway in the shuttle-box for the picker. The portion of the piece F below the spindle C is made shallower than the portion thereabove. The picking stick B has a piece B' of leather fixed thereto.
