Abstract

612,118. Cathode-ray oscillographs. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO.,.Ltd. Nov. 21, 1945, No. 31408. Convention date, July 25, 1944. [Class 37] [Also in Group XL (c)] A cathode-ray oscillograph in which a number of waveforms are viewed simultaneously on separate horizontal traces has the beam deflected in the horizontal direction by a succession of saw-tooth waves each starting from the same datum line, but having differing directions. Curve 33 of Fig. 3 shows such a horizontal deflecting voltage, the beam being caused to traverse two different horizontal traces by the application of the waveform shown in curve 34 to the vertical deflecting plates. The signals displayed on the successive horizontal sweeps may be lined up by adjustment of the timing of the start of the sweeping voltages.
