612,103. Spring forks. LAMBERT, R. N. Oct. 30, 1946, No. 32171. [Class 136 (iii)] [Also in Group XXXII] In a motor-cycle spring fork comprising a pair of upper and lower telescopic tubular members, a tube 14 is movable with each lower member 8 and extends into the upper member 1 through a bushing 7 and has a slot 15 along its length to allow passage of hydraulic medium between the tubular members, and a valve 16 allows free fluid flow from the lower to the upper member. The slot 15 is tapered, decreasing in width as it progresses up the tube away from the bushing more than it decreases in width as it progresses down the tube away from the bushing.
