611,594. Fire-extinguishing. ROCKWOOD SPRINKLER CO. May 7, 1946, No. 13781. Convention date, Jan. 4, 1945. [Class 47 (ii)] A spray nozzle 16 is closed by a cap 18 held in place by a tripod member 20 the legs 22 of which have point contact 26 with struts 28 which engage under lugs 14 on a cup-like member 10 integral with the nozzle support 6. The struts overlie one another and each has a tail portion 36 secured to the main portion thereof by solder which melts to release the cap 18 on rise of temperature. The member 20 is stressed by tightening a screw 24. Specification 564,199, [Group XXIX], is referred to.
