Abstract

611,126. Rollers. MILLEN, T. April 20, 1946, No. 12149. [Class 42(ii)] A rubber roller for a wringing machine has a series of holes extending longitudinally or substantially longitudinally in from one or both ends over only a minor portion of the length of the roller. As shown, a roller is composed of a steel shaft 4 having a hard rubber covering 5, in one or both ends of which a series of longitudinal holes 6 are drilled or moulded. The holes preferably extend for at least a quarter of the length of the roller.
